Camila is a warm and empathetic psychologist who is dedicated to support and improve client’s wellbeing. She advocates for a client-therapist relationship seeing this as an essential tool in the process of helping people meeting their needs.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and has experience in private practice and hospital settings both as a psychologist and a counsellor. She has worked in hospitals with paediatric cancer and blood-related disorders, children in palliative care, grief and loss counselling and parent support.
In the private practice, Camila combines evidence-based approaches into her work, having special interest in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She sees adult clients in the areas of anxiety, panic, trauma, PTSD, depression, pre and postnatal, parenting, life transition, self-esteem and assertiveness, grief and loss and cultural shock
She also runs workshops on the emotional aspects of pregnancy, and coping strategies for international student’s emotional challenges
